Announcement: Summit Voter Coalition

We are very excited to announce a new collaborative effort between the SCDP and the many Democratic and progressive clubs of Summit County: The Summit Voter Coalition! 

Discussions between the Party and several local clubs to work together on canvassing and other forms of voter outreach began late last year and continued throughout the winter. the SVC’s first canvasses will be later this month, but these will not be typical canvassing to promote a candidate or issue. We will be rolling out what is called “Deep Canvassing” – a type of canvassing that targets disengaged and infrequent voters, and is based upon values and emotions rather than issues and platforms. Interested canvassers are encouraged to first enroll in one of the Storytelling Workshops to learn how to engage with voters during Deep Canvassing. These will be held on March 19th and March 26th.

Canvasses will be held on March 21st and March 28th. Stay tuned for more dates throughout the spring!
